A mind is the set of cognitive faculties that enables consciousness, perception, thinking, judgement, and memory or another word for it is emotional health. The state of our mind can affect not only the outcome of your life but how your body functions.

Poor emotional health can weaken your body’s immune system, making you more likely to get colds and other infections during emotionally difficult times. Also, when you are feeling stressed, anxious or upset, you may not take care of your health as well as you should. You may not feel like exercising, eating nutritious foods or taking medicine that your doctor prescribes.

Maybe it’s money trouble or the burden of caring for a sick relative.  Maybe it’s your job.  Maybe it’s the traffic.  Whatever the cause, everyone seems stressed out these days. Two things that affect how much stress people feel are self-esteem and a sense of control.

Stress can affect how you feel, think, behave and how your body works. In fact, common signs of stress include sleeping problems, over sweating, loss of appetite and difficulty concentrating.

You may feel anxious, irritable or low in self esteem, and you may have racing thoughts, worry constantly or go over things in your head. You may notice that you lose your temper more easily, drink more or act unreasonably.

You may also experience headaches, muscle tension or pain, or dizziness and panic attacks. Maybe you feel overwhelmed or unable to cope with life’s pressures or need help to set and achieve your goals. It could be that you are highly strung and need to find ways to manage your time; learn to say ‘No’; need clarity & focus to change your life around or excel more at your career.
